  • 1 ½ cups whole milk
  • 1 (3-oz) package lime gelatin mix (like Jell-O®)
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp lime zest, freshly grated (optional, for extra zing!)

Instructions

  1. Mix the Base: In a bowl, whisk the whole milk and lime gelatin mix together until the powder is fully dissolved. Stir in the heavy cream and optional lime zest until just combined.
  2. Freeze Solid: Pour the mixture into a Ninja Creami pint, secure the lid, and place it on a perfectly level spot in your freezer for at least 24 hours.
  3. First Spin: Once frozen solid, place the pint into your Ninja Creami and process using the “Ice Cream” button. The texture will likely look dry or crumbly—this is normal!
  4. Re-spin to Perfection: Lock the pint back in and press the “Re-spin” button. This cycle transforms it into a smooth, scoopable sherbet. If it’s still crumbly, add 1 Tbsp of milk and re-spin one more time.
